This unpaid internship will be 20-25 hours per week. The Administrative Intern greets callers on the telephone and in person, and performs various administrative duties as time permits. He/she handles all calls and visitors in a friendly, professional, positive and helpful manner. The Administrative Intern will work very closely with the Executive Director & learn the In’s & Out of how a performing arts school runs.
•Assisting with Marketing, •Scheduling, and other Administrative functions.
•Creating and maintaining student and other personnel school files.
•Sorting and organizing information and documents.
•Check and reconcile various items and reports.
•Creating and maintaining student files and personnel school files.
•Organize binders, shelves and books.
•Operates telephone system; forward calls as required, greets visitors and responds to inquiries.
•Processes and posts all incoming and outgoing mail; notifies staff of packages and faxes.
•Maintains schedule of Lessons/Programs.
•Prepares necessary reports when needed.
•Keeps the desk neat.
•Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Background
Skills: Courteous, professional and pleasant manner; neat appearance; excellent and pleasant telephone skills, strong communication and Microsoft office suite skills, Google Suite Skills, and positive and energetic interpersonal skills.
** UNPAID Internship / High School/College Students are preferred.
